Yoga for Grief

These are shaky times. We are living through a planet-wide shift in many ways: ecological, climate, political, economic. Yet, we are here to create beauty within despair. We need grief and we need imagination. Grief can block or it can release and generate. The grief blocks us and prevents the imagination, the great turning, the going forth into a new future.
We were not taught in modernity how to experience grief. How to let pain and suffering move through us. We need to remember the village in ways we can and the Earth that holds us through it all.
In this workshop, we will tend to the culture of belonging we long for. We will tend the Earth in honoring all of the complexities of life, grief and praise and everything in between. By moving energies inside ourselves and in community, we support the creation of conditions for beauty to take root.
We will practice honoring our individual and collective grief. We will create time to share stories of our grief, connect with each other and the Earth, practice gentle heart-centered yoga and process as a community. We will end our time together with writing, receiving sound healing and seeing with new eyes.
